January 12th 2011 03:15
So , the Consumer Electronics Showcase (CES) 2011, is over and done with. And it was a hit, with some big names bringing up some Uber cool products into the arena. Here's a look at all the tech that was unveiled during the show..
First Up: The Razer SwitchBlade:
Razer showed off this innovative little gizmo, thats basically a small computer, sporting a touchscreen and an AMOLED keyboard. The highlight of this is that, this keyboard can be customized to show ANYTHING!! Every key is customizable and the keys can be turned into fireballs, guns and grenades depending on the game your playing
The Big O!!!
Origin brought in the Big O, and it wasn't just an ordinary gaming rig with a cheesy name. The 'Double' Cabinet, sports a Water Cooled XBOX 360 on the left, and a nice chilly gaming rig on the right. There's no scrimping in the hardware with an OC'ed (Overclocked) Intel Core i7 950, a couple of nVidia GeForce GTX 580s running in SLI, a dual SSD RAID setup and a whomping 1500W of pure power to provide the juice for the parts!!
If you're looking for something to game your heart out on...I would say start saving the pennies, as the models start at $7,800!!
The Motorola Atrix:
nVidia flaunted the might of it's Terga 2 processors by showing off the new Motorola Atrix. They claim that these processors can make the graphical capabilities of a cell phone about two to three better than any other phone in the market! They're busy labeling phones with these processors as 'super-phones', and I must say, looking at the performance, they're not lying!!
Sony's funky 3D goggles:
Sony came to the show, displaying it's Tron Style 3D goggles for all to see. The glasses generate images at a 1280x720 resolution However no tentative release date was given by Sony. So all you 3D buffs will have to wait!
Samsung Series 9:
Samsung awed all with its ultra sexy looking 9 Series laptops. The 13-inch laptop is light as a feather weighing a mere 2.8 lbs. It's built with a light weight aluminium alloy called duralumin, which is generally used in airplanes!!
In the hardware section, it comes equipped with a Intel's newest Sandy Bridge processors, up to 8gigs of RAM and a 128/256 GB SSD. The model starts at a $1600, but no release date is given yet!
